The Centre for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS) and WISE are organising for the second consecutive time a course for grant-making foundations in the French speaking part of Switzerland. In collaboration with The Graduate Institute, the objectif is to focus on their specific challenges with regards to management and legal issues. This course is specifically designed for foundation managers, individuals who intend to create a foundation, as well as professionals working directly with foundations.
Participants will expand their knowledge around key topics such as governance, strategy, evaluation and impact; other issues including challenges of collaborations between foundations will also be addressed.
Combining the expertise of reknown professionals in the sector and the one the organisers, this three-days programme will give the opportunity to create a link between theoretical knowledge and implementation.
The next course will be held from the 9th to the 11th of September 2013.

We have created educational training programmes in the field for the younger generations (20-40 years old) of the families we work with. The purpose of these training programmes is to help the younger generation understand what the stakes are and experience the variety of possible ways that a family’s resources can be engaged in philanthropy. Through our experience and support, we help them achieve their aspirations and eventually develop their individual ways to engage.
March 2007: Learning Journey for Next Generation in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Forum for Active Philanthropy (Germany).
August 2008: Learning Journey for Next Generation in Brazil.
August 2009: Make a Difference in Brazil, mandated by the bank Lombard Odier and the Family Business Network.
